Per Diem: The fee is $800 per diem for
traditional union/management disputes; $1200 per diem for non-union employment
arbitration. Any hearing day will
be charged a minimum of one day. A
hearing day is considered to be eight (8) hours including travel to and from the
hearing location on the same day of the hearing. Time spent in excess of eight (8) hours in any one day may be
prorated, depending upon the circumstances.
Time spent in research, study and writing the opinion and award will be
prorated based upon a six (6) hour day. Charges
will be billed from the office nearest the hearing locale.
Travel: Mileage will be charged at
the standard IRS rate in effect when utilizing my personal vehicle.
Reimbursement at my cost will be charged for lodging, commercial
transportation, rental vehicle, tolls, parking and meals if appropriate.
Per Diem for travel that is necessary on days other than the hearing date
will be prorated.
Cancellation Fee: No per diem charges if a hearing date is postponed or cancelled and the arbitrator receives notice eight (8) or more calendar days prior to the scheduled date. Hearing dates postponed or cancelled with less than eight (8) calendar days notice to the arbitrator will be charged as one day.
