ARBITRATION/LABOR RELATIONS EXPERIENCE:  
2000- Present:
Arbitrator, Mediator, Consultant. In addition to traditional arbitration has experience with Fact-finding, Conciliation, Interest Arbitration and all forms of mediation.  1998-2000, Served a Chief Negotiator for the City of Columbus, Ohio.  Previously as Director of Classified Personnel for Columbus Public Schools,  Served as Chief Negotiator for the State of Ohio; and HR Chief for the BWC.  Vice Chair of the State Employment Relations Board and 15 years as a mediator.  Has also served in a number of capacities within a Statewide Union.  President of the Ohio Education Association, and Director of Uniserv supervising 70 staff representatives.  Worked on assignment for the NEA in Florida.  Does extensive mediation work for non-profit and religious based organizations. Does extensive Joint Labor – Management training. Have served as adjunct faculty at Columbus State Community College and The Ohio State University in various labor – management programs.

FEES:

PER DIEM FEE         $800
Grievance Arbitration:  The fee is $800 per day of hearing, research and preparation of the opinion and award.  A hearing day is any portion of a day up to seven hours.  Time for research and preparation is pro-rated.
Cancellation Policy:  If the scheduled hearing is cancelled or postponed with notice of less than 14 days the per diem rate will be charged for each day of hearing scheduled plus any non-refundable costs incurred for air or hotel reservations.
Interest Arbitration, Fact-Finding, and Mediation:  Per diem rate is $800 per day.  Time for research and preparation is pro-rated.  Fees for expedited arbitration proceedings will be discussed and determined prior to the proceeding.
Travel Time: 
If travel is necessary on a day other than the hearing day the Arbitrator charges one-half the per diem fee for travel up to 3.5 hours and the full per diem fee for travel time over 3.5 hours.
Expenses:   Arbitrator charges actual costs of reasonable expenses, including airfare, car rental, food and lodging.  Automobile mileage is charged at the applicable IRS expense rate.  Arbitrator does not usually charge for copying, distribution, and normal office charges relating to the preparation of the award, but may charge for extensive phone calls.
